Thought Provoking

It's the weekend. Too tired to write up the stories of what the little men have done lately. Trust me, they have been busy. Instead, here is something for you to think about... Do you agree? or disagree? why?

1. An armed man is a citizen. An unarmed man is a subject.
2. A gun in the hand is better than a cop on the phone.
3. Glock: The original point and click interface.
4. Gun control is not about guns; it's about control.
5. If guns are outlawed, can we use swords?
6. If guns cause crime, then pencils cause misspelled words.
7. Free men Do Not ask permission to bear arms.
8. If you don't know your rights you don't have any.
9. Those who trade liberty for security have neither.
10. The United States Constitution (c) 1791. All Rights reserved.
11. What part of "shall not be infringed" do you not understand?
12. The Second Amendment is in place in case they ignore the others.
13. 64,999,987 firearms owners killed no one yesterday.
14. Guns only have two enemies: rust and liberals.
15. Know guns, know peace and safety. No guns, no peace nor safety.
16. You don't shoot to kill; you shoot to stay alive.
17. 911 - government sponsored Dial-a-Prayer.
18. Assault is a behavior, not a device.
19. Criminals love gun control -- it makes their jobs safer .
20. If guns cause crime, then matches cause arson.
21. Only a government that is afraid of its citizens tries to control them.
22. You only have the rights you are willing to fight for.
23. Enforce the "gun control laws" we have, don't make more.
24. When you remove the people's right to bear arms, you create slaves.
25. The American Revolution would never have happened with gun control.
26. ".. A government of the PEOPLE, by the PEOPLE, for the PEOPLE..."

Agree. Because it makes sense, because I've seen the fate of countries that ban gun ownership and because that's the way I was brought up. Taught at a young age to handle them and always, always respect their power.

Guns are tools; in the wrong hand a tire iron can kill as effectively.

[/two cents] ;)

Agree of course. Gun control is a precourse to socialist control-they cannot take over government as long as there are armed citizens against them. This started long before Bambi-it was the socialists who started the big labor union movements and managed to get the laws such as the Davis Bacon act passed that cost government twice the labor cost on government projects. It was the socialists that have backed every populist movement as well as all of the anti war movements.

The anii gun movement is just a part of the overall goal-control of your mind and money and life is what they are after.

Good list.
Over at IMAO, Frank has three posts from some guy (Michael Z Williams - whoever that is) listing falsehoods about gun control. Longs lists, good reading.

Ah, but a tire iron can't kill you from across the street. Children can't accidentally fire a tire iron because they didn't know it was loaded.

No, but a child can kill you with an kitchen knife because they are playing around. So kitchen knives should be illegal as well. IE only an idiot lets a kid get their hands on a knife or a gun.

And let's not get started on how dangerous 2 inches of water is around kids. I can kill an unlimited number of people with some water -- I don't even need bullets. ;)

Citizen or subject? Now there is a question!

Wandering across a few blogs I came across this question on "One happy dog speaks" and it made me think. In Britain we have traditionally been regarded as "Subjects", although Mr Blair is more keen on the term "Citizen", but...
