Banana Bread

Carnival of Recipes is being hosted by Boudicca at Boudicca’s Voice. This is an easy recipe that even the kids can help out with. Gets rid of those last 2 old bananas and tastes good too!

Ingredients:

2 ripe bananas (mashed)
2 eggs
½ cup vegetable oil
¼ cup and 1 tblsp buttermilk
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp vanilla
½ tsp salt
1 ½ cups sugar
1 ¾ cups unsifted flour
(optional – 1 cup chop nuts)

Directions:

Grease and flour 9x5 pan. Mix all ingredients well and bake until top is golden brown and starting to split slightly. 375 degrees for about 1 hour 20 minutes (may take longer).
