- Seizures as a child, and I remember getting the EEGs for them.
- Fell off bike over the handlebars, hit my head and got amnesia
- Horse fell on leg and hurt knee
- Cut finger throwing glass under 'monkey' tree, still have the scar
- Played catcher and got hit in the head with a bat
- Car wreck in my very first car (which was a vw bug) and got amnesia
I notice there is a trend towards head injuries. Goodness... I hope my children don't do that. I also see the opportunity for some stories to be expanded upon and told here. It's amazing I survived childhood. Naaa... not the injuries, that my mom didn't kill me for all the stupid stuff I did.
What about you? Any accidents or illnesses when you were growing up?

Wow. I didn't know you had seizures! Hunh. The things you learn from a blog...
Hospitalization due to infections.
Tonsils out.
Now I RARELY get sick and if I do, its BAD.
That's it. I had a pretty uneventful childhood.
Now... the list for my three boys is extensive, but I'll not post that here. ;-)
Nothing like that! I broke my wrist the summer before kindergarten... ran into the door in Gym class & had a few stitches near my eye... that's about all! Oh, there were fainting episodes..
Ohhh mannnn... I forgot the broken arm. Did that one too...
Wow, your parents were BUSY! And amnesia! How long did that last?
Okay, leaving out childhood illnesses and surgeries...
Broke left wrist roller skating
Bitten, kicked, stepped on, thrown from horses, but the only real injury resulted from a mare hurling me [and herself] into a tree at a gallop. I was on crutches for a week. She was only green broke, and I was in the wrong pasture for that.
There's one more thing, but I can't recall it. Childhood is a dangerous time, isn't it?
Makes me want to climb a tree just so I can fall out of it and 'remember the good times'. ;)
I've broken or had hairline fractures of all my limbs (some 2x). I had broken jaw, torn ligaments. there's more but I'm at the airport.
