Hurricane Frances Picture

Wow! I found a great picture from the NASA sight on Hurricane Frances and wanted to share it with you.

Hurricane Frances

It amazes me how something so dangerous can be so beautiful. If you want to see it even in a larger size, go to

Hey, it may be pretty, but that doesn't mean I'm not getting my act together NOW! Geezoweez, did you see the size of that bugger in the paper this morning?

Yep. I go to http://hurricane.terrapin.com/ATL-06A/ at 11am/pm and 5am/pm (EST) to see the latest. The 11am was:

135MPH moving West at 9MPH with a reconnaissance plane going to reach it later today. So can't wait till 5pm to see the next one.

So exactly when do you decide to leave? at least 2 days before? 3 would be better, but they are not that accurate. I would just HATE to get caught on the road but I certainly don't want to be around for this one if it comes here.

Since it is moving due West now, it might make it to the Gulf. Poor P'cola. Seems to attract hurricanes. I was hoping it would go North and never hit land. I see I am not going to get my wish.

Just keep watching...

I called my folks. I told them we'll know Fri or Sat. if we're evacuating. I'll stay through a 4, but not a 5. Thinking of taking the Beeline out to 441 to Yeehaw Jct. Gotta find out when and where the pike turns into a parking lot.

I'm bookmarking that site you gave me.

For what it's worth, ya'll can head up here. I know that probably doesn't make sense after Charley, but I'm putting it out there any way.

I'm not liking this at all. Not one bit. And I HATE that there is so little information on it. By the time they start talking about it, it'll be too late for many to get the heck outta dodge. Glad ya'll are on it, I'll do my best, but I'll be checking in.

BTW - welcome to the family Bug! I've been meaning to drop a comment and just haven't gotten the opportunity. We're so glad to have you!!! :-)
